Doug DuBois Memorial Scholarship

Many of you will recognize the name, Doug DuBois. He has been a longtime supporter and member of our community, hosted many permaculture events and speakers at his annual Homestead Hoedown, and given his talents to classes and individuals freely. He was a craftsman, a musician, a friend, and a kind soul. Doug has also been a builder of a sustainable community both in Lawrence and, later, in southern Jefferson County. He passed suddenly in a tractor accident at Brushy Run, his homestead, on Sunday, March 7, 2021. He is missed by all who knew him. KPI is accepting donations in his honor to fund a scholarship program for disadvantaged students. 

Please expect a receipt containing the necessary information for your tax records in January following your donation. If you prefer not to use PayPal, we can also receive funds via Dwolla (bank transfer), Square (cards), or by check in the mail.
