Dancing Leaves Forest Farm

Located on 10 acres of woodland and pasture in Oskaloosa, KS, board member Jeffery Heppler and his wife Regina manage the property using permaculture principles. The site is managed with intensive rotational grazing with goats and sheep where they strive to encourage biodiversity, soil development, and the next generation of native food crops. Producing fruit, nuts, seeds, vegetables, herbs, and meat, the couple hopes to tap into the agritourism business by constructing several accommodations for folks to stay in, participate, and enjoy the systems that they are building. This will be a demonstration site showing the possibilities of small acreage production. Dancing Leaves Forest Farm is in the exciting beginning stages of designing and building their permaculture home and business, and we look forward to following their progress in the years to come.
